When they're feeling comfortable, cared for and surrounded by their pack, they'll even stretch out back-to-back with you. This is the ultimate sign of trust.
It's vital to notice signs for concern in the way your pet sleeps. A dog that sleeps on its belly with its paws underneath its body or stretched out to the sides is not fully relaxed and cannot get a good quality sleep. In this position, they don't reach the REM sleep stage.
